I really hate that episode where Mark and Becky (#2) are living with Dan and Roseanne and Becky announces to Roseanne that she and Mark are trying to have a baby. Roseanne then gets emotional and hugs Becky. That sickens me everytime I see that scene. When Becky ran off to marry Mark, Dan was upset (obviously) and told Roseanne that she was ruining her life, she would just quit school and end up pregnant. Roseanne then told Dan that wouldn't happen, Becky was a smart girl, etc. etc. etc.
Well, Dan was right, BUT ROSEANNE WAS HAPPY????? Makes no sense. The Roseanne I know, would've said something to the effect of "Becky! What's the matter with you, are you insane?" "Don't you know if you have a baby you will never want to go back to school and you'll end up staying at home!" "Mark and you can't afford a baby right now. That's why you both live with your father and I." I really hated Roseanne's reaction. It was wrong.

Yeah now that I've read it again, "Mark and you can't afford a baby" is exactly what I hear Rosey saying to Beck. Don't get it.

Yeah OK that would be Season 7. Lecy came back for 8. Although it could have been nine because Sarah Chalke came back for the last season.

The episode you're all talking about is the season premiere of season seven, "Nine Is Enough." I never cared for this either, especially the way it was mostly dropped until the last episode. In "Becky Howser, MD," Becky tells Mark that she wants to go back on the pill, but before that, not much was mentioned of it. Bugged me.

It was erratic. Maybe this was the precursor to what was going to happen on the final episode. Screw with our minds so that by the series' finale we won't know who the hell these people were anymore.
