Default "Family Ties- More Knots."

Michael J. Fox

"Family Ties- More Knots."

starring
Meredith Baxter- Birney
Michael Gross
Justine Bateman
and Tina Yothers and Brian Bonsall.

This series takes place approximately one year after the original ended.

1- "Relocating (1)."- Steven opts to retire from the local television station after many years of faithful service; Elyse is offered a prestigious architect's job in New York.

2- "Relocating (2)."- Elyse, Steven and Andy decide to move to New York, so that she can start a new job--- and so that they can be reunited with Alex.

3- "Wedding Bell Blues."- Nick proposes to Mallory, much to Steven's chagrin; they announce that they are going to also move to New York to make "a brand new start of it."

4- "College."- As fate would have it, Jennifer applied to NYU months before Elyse was offered the job there; and even luckier--- she finds out she's been accepted!

5- "Career Woman."- Graduate Mallory hopes her Bachelor's in Fashion can land her a job at an exclusive New York Department Store.

6- "Stagestruck."- Mallory, at her first Broadway show, is spotted by a scout who thinks she just might have the "X" Factor to make it as a star.

7- "Overwhelming Overload Over At Olga's."- Alex is forced to deal with an overbearing co-worker named Olga; Steven goes for a whole new wardrobe at the upscale place where Mallory has just landed a job.

more soon...

8- "Storm Watch."- A terrential rain storm rips through New York, causing power lines to come down and tempers to flare.

9- "You're... What? Oh, And What's That Now?"- Mallory has two surprises for Mom and Dad: first, she and Nick have eloped to Hawaii. Second--- she's pregnant.

10- "What Came First? The Egg or the Monkey Suit?"- Steven has a "heart-to-heart" with his new son-in-law, asking him which came first--- the marriage... or the pregnancy.

11- "The Real Deal (1)."- Relieved by Nick's answer, that the baby was conceived during the honeymoon, Steven talks to Mallory about a REAL wedding, in front of family and friends.

12- "The Real Deal (2)."- Mallory and Nick set a "family and friends" wedding date.

13- "Andrew and the Facts of Life."- Andy is caught with a pornographic magazine in his bookbag; Elyse's concerns shut out Andy's pleas for understanding: that he didn't know it was there. It is later revealed that a punk classmate hid it there just to get "the new kid" in trouble.

MORE SOON...

16- "All's Laissez-Faire In Love And War."- Alex begins to write his memoirs about his life; Elyse and Steven argue over how America would fare with a laissez-faire economy.

17- "K, My Name Is Keaton."- Alex suffers a mental block that keeps him awake for 72 hours straight; to make matters worse, he is supposed to be co-hosting a local telethon in which he must stay on camera for 24 more hours! (Inspired by an episode of "The Dick Van Dyke Show.")

18 and 19- "The Keatons Economize."- The Keaton clan cuts corners during a time of economic downfall; Skippy's psychology professor tells him the only way he can make the grade is to sleep with her.

Thanks for the positive responses!

21- "Help, We're Trapped! (1)."- Skippy and Alex trek to their high school reunion and are trapped in the school's basement with an old friend who's turned criminal.

22- "Help, We're Trapped! (2)."- Steven and Elyse fear the worst when Alex has been missing for 24 hours.

23- "Help, We're Trapped! (3)."- Skippy and Alex are rescued by the janitorial staff after the party clears out and their cries for help are finally heard.

24- "Hold Me Closer, Not-So-Tiny Dancer."- Mallory wants to be a dancer, unaware that she is a natural-born klutz. Alex is the unlucky one who has to break the news to Grace-less Kelly that she has all the charisma of a brick wall.

I've decided to change most of these stories around, to change the setting of the show (New York, where Alex moved to in the series finale), and this way the whole family can live together again in a logical way. I've kept some of the latter ones, as they can work in New York, but most of the middle is now gone. We're assuming in this series that Alex still has his lawyer job in New York, Mallory has graduated college (believe it or not, lol), and that Jennifer is about to start college. Does anybody know how old Andrew would be?

Well, would you really follow the canon of the first four episodes - or the canon of the last three episodes? If it's the former, Andy would be four. If it's the latter, Andy would be seven.

Good point, bttf4444--- I think I'll take it from when Andy was 7. Thanks!

Well to be honest I really didn't see much of a chance for Mallory to be happy with anyone other than Nick, even though most of the family and most audiences hated him LOL.
