I've just discovered Silver Spoons episodes on Nickelodeon (I totally don't remember the show ever being on a decade ago!)
I was wondering, could someone tell me how the series Silver Spoons ended? I mean, what happened on the series finale? |

The episode is titled Let It Snow, Let It Snow. The premise was that Edward and Kate were trying to get away for a romantic weekend skiing and somehow Rick, Alfonso, Dexter, and Brad ended up coming along. Everyone keeps appearing at inopportune moments and ruining any hope at romance. When the heat in their cabins aren't working they all end up with Edward and Kate whose isn't working either. The boys try chopping down a tree and come back with something that looks like the tree from Merry Christmas Charlie Brown. Edward and Dexter cut down a larger tree that crashes through the ceiling of the cabin. They are all later rescued by a troop of girl scouts. The final scene features the three of them sitting on the couch in the mansion talking about where they're going on their next vacation. Kate wants no snow, Rick wants no fire, Edward wants no Brad. Kate asks "Where are we ever going to find a place like that?". Rick puts an arm around both of them and says "I think we already have". That was the end of Silver Spoons.

THAT was how they ended the series??!!
Was the series finale intentionally planned like that? Or was the series cancelled in a manner that they didn't get to do a formal "goodbye episode"??? |

There was no formal goodbye which is why I'm in the process of working on a reunion episode.

Judith, I see you live in LA. I live in LA as well! Moved here 10 years ago. We should get together and pitch the show to Netflix for a revival!
www.MarkSinacori.com is my website I remember years ago you were working on a reunion episode. I think this show along with a few others from the 1980s can make revivals. It's sad that shows such as Diff'rent Strokes and Gimme A Break! Can't anymore. |
