i'm joining a gym today

Jonathan goes to a college here and he can get me a cheap membership to the college gym... i've got a wedding that i've got to get my butt and tummy ready for in March!

anyone work out at a gym, or have any suggestions for a humble beginner like myself?

Pace yourself, and listen to your body. It will tell you what it can't handle. And don't work out for over 20 minutes when your starting out. Start there and work your way up. By March you will have safely doubled ( at least ) your work out time

Swim laps, if you can. Being in water makes your body work harder.

No smoking in the gym.

For some reason, they're really uptight about that...
