I remember here in Atlanta that the original location of the Have A Nice Day Cafe had a replica PD bus parked out front. The bar owner said it was not the original bus (could have fooled me---the paint job was that good), and I recall telling me that the original bus "ended up in a junk yard somewhere". Gwad, I hope not---does anyone know whatever happened to the bus? |

I'm not sure what happeened to it. I'm not
completly sure ,so don't take my word for it. More than likely it's been put up in a museum where they store the cars that were in tv shows & movies. |

According to the PF book, "Come on Get Happy", it was sold several times after the show ended, and then ended up junked behind a restaurant called Lucy's Tacos in L.A. in the 1980s. This was before TV memorabilia became really big -- I'm sure the bus would have been saved had this happened later on.
They did a good job with the replica used when N@N ran PF in the early 90s, but you could tell they used a much newer model bus (I'm sure they had to). |

I saw this bus at Universal Studios in Florida about three years ago. It was on display and you could have pictures made standing along side it, but you weren't allowed to get inside.
