Default The House

I know that the show was taped on a stage, but is the house in the opening credits still around.

Just wondering

The house seen in the opening titles and in establishing shots is a retouched painting of a property that stood on Adams Boulevard in Los Angeles - it's since been demolished.

The house from the 1977 reunion show - "Halloween with the New Addams Family" - still exists and is located in the Hancock Park district of LA.

I thought one house they used was in Boston somewhere,,,I visited it once and they told me it was used for the exterior shots of the house.

Exclamation current location of the house from the opening credits of "THE ADDAMS FAMILY"

I know this for a fact, MARIE!
That house is somewhere in an unknown location in LOS ANGELES. however, in the 1972 horror film "BEN" it was used for the last time officially on film of any sort! Now I plan to make a multitude of theatrical motion pictures on location in the midwest town of GRAND RAPIDS, MINNESOTA using an exact down to the smallest detail replica of the original house itself! I know this because the only it ever appeared on film for the series itself in a regular episode was when Mr. HILLIARD was sent to see why PUGSLEY & WEDNESDAY were not in school! Also, becuase I happen to like HO scale model railroading as an indoor hobby, well, I paln to build from scratch an HO scale replica for good measure just to insure how things will look when filming on location!? So as soon as it's officially in time for filming, well, would you consider a possible tour of it!?

Question geographical verification

Say FRUMP!
You know this for a fact do you now?
Well, just remember that the house featured in the 1972 horror film "BEN" was used the opening shot for the names of the writers as well as those of the directors of the show! the one in BOSTON must have been used mainly for the shot with the title of the show & the house together just before swicthing over to the shot with the title of the show & the family, you reckon!? Afterall, anything is a possibility if you know where to look for the right information!? Besides, I still plan to build the replica of their house on location in GRAND RAPIDS, MINNESOTA!

The house I'm talking abou t is on a school campus, I was there when I was like 10 or 11. It's just business offices on the inside, but they told everyone it was the house for the exterior shots.
