Is Drysdale a TURE friend?

I know Drysdale is MONEY crazy and it seems to dominate EVERY part of his life, BUT do you think there is ANY good in him?

My question is:

Say, toward the end of the series after Drysdale REALLY knows the Clampetts the BEST, if Jed suddenly lost all his money and was dirt poor again, do you think Drysdale would still be friends with the Clampetts? Do yo uthink he would even be nice to them or just tell them to "Get out of his sight!!"
FOr some reason I feel he would still be friends with them and be nice just b/c of the habituals of it, and I feel maybe he DID really like the Clampetts for more than just their money.
