That's one of the reasons I stopped listening to rap music. There are a few original artists out there today, but for the most part, it's mostly crap in my opinion. I miss the days of Ice Cube, 2PAC, D.J. Quick, Biggie Smalls, and Bone Thuggs & Harmony, etc. Hopefully a new crop of original rappers will come along soon.

I am so sick of people saying that rap is not a real genre and that anyone can do it...if anyone can do it, why isnt everyone making money by rapping, because not everyone can rap. I dont like country, but I dont go around saying country is a bunch of hicks complaining, even thought that's what it seems like it is, because not all country is that.

Because rap ISNT a genre cause they dont sing. In country, rock, pop, ect... they SING about reasonable situations, in rap they curse about people they raped last night and want to kill.

give me an example of a song where they sing about someone raping people. I doubt you listen to rap much at all...you dont know the history of rap, nor do you care to learn, therefore you will remain ignorant and simply stereotype rappers as rapists because of how they look and sound, which is sad. And so what if it's not singing? There are different forms of music, it's too bad that you want to put a limit on what qualifies a musical genre.
