Default Alderman Davis was a cruel dude, wasn't he

LOL It was funny watching him say to Florida, "As long as I am alderman, you will always live in the projects"

And this is even the funnier part. We all talk about not taking JJ seriously about anything. He totally embarasses Davis druing his speech AND EVERYONE THOUGHT IT WAS A JOKE!!!! A ROAST.

How about Davis forcing the Evanses out of their apartment if JJ doesn't say a few kind words. He had a lot of power, but can a person (politician) really do something as mean-spirited as that. And the couple that came to look at the apartment wanted the place, no matter what, LOL. And didn't the woman look familiar. Was that Lena, Henry Evans' ladyfriend? I may be wrong, but it sure looked like her.

No that wasn;t Lena. Lena was the same woman who played Diane on the first episode of the Jeffersons.

If I remember correctly Davis did finally see the light and gave from his heart in one episode.

Kinda ruins it when they set up all these evil guys and ruin it by giving them a little compassion. They are funny because they were evil.

I hated when they started humanizing Bookman.

I think Penny was too young to be cracking jokes about Bookman.

I think the good old alderman wanted a piece of Florida, but he was too much of a punk to ask.

Yeah, what kind of example is that to set for the kids??? Here was Florida and her holier than thou preaching for all the seasons she was on, but she was NOT perfect (as Carl stated) when it came to call Bookman names. Yeah, I know he deserved it at times, but ALL THE TIME??? Maybe he wouldn't have been a jerk had the name calling been stopped.

I was taught to respect my elders. Never know when you were going to need them in your adult life.

Actually Florida only insulted Bookman when He refused to Fix something or was trying to evict them. The other Family Members just called Bookman names for the Hell of it-lol

Florida had some nerve calling Bookman "Buffalo Butt" considering she was no small woman.
