My least fave Partridge quote is from "Two For The Show":

REUBEN: Crushes come and go,and I say this one will before you can say "Sandra Dee".

CHRIS & TRACY: Who?

REUBEN: Annette Funicello?

Notice that Reuben is also mentioning Miss Funicello. To prove that a running gag is classic when you mention someone from your generation. The first time annette was mentioned is in the pilot episode, when Shirley says it.

Is it true for any other classic sitcom?

I don't see what is so wrong with it though I don't really care for it either.
Everyone should understand that these were the early 1970s and at least these words reflected much of the mood of the times.

BTW, that entire episode presented some kind of reverse racism in that the black business owners (Pryor and Gossett) did not think that the music of the white Partridge Family would appeal to blacks.

One of my least favorite quotes goes along with one of my least favorite scenes when Mrs. Partridge said "Tracy do your thing" in the Christmas Episode telling her youngest child, Tracy to hold a mistletoe over her head and have every male member of the family kiss her.

I don't understand the point. Can you specify?
