Smile different theme song

I am watching the Family right now (Fox Family Channel) and the theme song was one I never heard before...something about "When we're singing" instead of "C'mon get happy"

Does anyone have any info on this? I never knew there was more than one theme song!

That is easy to answer:In the pilot, they sung
"Together"(or "Havin' A Ball"),but in the rest of the 1st season, it was "When We're Singin'". For the second season, two changes were made: the opening and the theme song.
Sandy Dvore changed Jeremy to Brian, because Jeremy's parents were leaving. Wes Farell now
teamed up with Danny Jenseen to do "Come On,Get Happy" for seasons 2-4. Although, when the show was syndicated,Sandy changed David
and Danny's faces in the opening credits in the 2nd season.

Here are the lyrics to "When We're Singin'":

Come on now and meet everybody
And hear us singing
There's nothing better than being together
When we're singing

Five of us and Mom working all day
We knew we could help her if our music could pay
Danny got Reuben to sell our song
And it really came together when Mom sang along

Come on now and meet everybody
And hear us singing
There's nothing better than being together
When we're singing
When we're singing
When we're singing!

Red face "The Partridge Family Theme Song"

Here are the lyrics to the 2nd season theme song,"Come On,Get Happy"

Hello world,there's a song that we're singing
Come on,get happy!
A whole lotta lovin' is what we'll be bringing
We'll make you happy!

We had a dream we go traveling together
Just spread a little loving, and we'll keep movin' on
Something always happens whenever we're together
We get a happy feeling when we're singing a song

Travelin' along,there's a song that we're singing
Come on,get happy!
A whole lotta lovin' is what we'll be bringing
We'll make you happy!
We'll make you happy!
We'll make you happy.

Thumbs up "The Partridge Family Theme Song"

Here are the lyrics to "Together"("Having A Ball")

Everybody's going places
Doing things
Look at all the smiling faces sing,Yeah!
Having a ball
Just doing our own now
Having a ball
Just getting it on

Together
Together
Together

Having a ball
(Together we're having a ball)
Having a ball
(Together we're having a ball)

Town to town we found a sound that's happening
And what we found is what we play and sing, yeah!
Having a ball
Just doing our own now
Having a ball
Just getting it on

Together
Together
Together

Having a ball
(Together we're having a ball)
Having a ball
(Together we're having a ball)

This song was put in the opening credits in their 1st episode,"What? And Get Out Of Showbusiness?".

There was another version of "Together",but with different lyrics.
what were they? I'd like to know!

what about the line "seeing people, doing things and showin' off our smiling faces.taking care of big and small and no business at all"?kinda reminds me "we love to work at nothin' all day" from BTO's "Takin' Care of Business".

Post Different Theme Song

What they should've done was change the title to "When We're Singing" to "When They're Singing". This is what I mean:

Come on now and meet everybody, and hear them singing. There's nothing better when they get together,When they're singing.
Five of them, and Mom working all day, they knew they could do it if their music would pay.Danny got Reuben to sell their song, and it really came together when we all sang along.
Come on now and meet everybody, and hear them singing. There's nothing better when they get together,When they're singing! When they're singing! When they're singing!

Now that's how to sell a song!
