Default Was it dumb for Thelma to let Ray inside the house to wait for Willona?

Why she couldn;t just say-"Well Ray Willona is not here right now but I will tell her that you stopped by" No, she says-"you can wait for her here-LOL

Didn't Willona tell Thelma to tell Ray she would be right back and for him to wait for her?

I think it was dumb for him to make a pass at her in the first place. And in her apartment. Do you think Willona would've actually believe Ray instead of Thelma?

Tell me, was Michael in that episode? And how naive was Willona. She goes out with him again, then she's talking marriage and kids. I though she was so streetwise.

I need to watch it again. Was he there the entire time? I can't remember seeing him after Ray tried his thing on Thelma. BTW, Ray was a ugly guy, wasn't he. Willona always talks about the kind of guy she wants, and she chose him.

Yeah, he was there, he just wasn't saying much, which is probably why it seemed like he wasn't there. He asked Ray if he still played bass, then Ray did this stupid ass thing, pretending to play "air bass" LOL
He was also there when JJ wanted to hit him. Which I think should have happened and for Willona to stand in his way, seems crazy, but it's because she wanted to have the LAST SAY SO and decked him one. At that point, she should have told JJ go ahead, your turn!!
He was one ugly M******F*****R!!!!! So damn FUGLY!!!!! They could have picked a better actor, but i think, this is JMO, maybe they picked this guy because it would make Ray seem more "disgusting" in his advances, than if it had been a good looking guy like Billy Dee Williams type actor. The ladies in the audience would have been cheering Thelma on to go for it rather than holler in disgust.

You could see Ray Checking out Thelma and she caught it. and you can see she started to feel awkward. Right there she could have said something mildly to Willona. He was obviously leering at her. and the rest of the show was predictable at that moment.

Right. And she didn't have a problem letting him in.

Everyone makes a bad judgement at some point in their life, Thelma just made a bad call when she let Ray in.

Right on Brieannas. Sometimes we may not agree, but I will let you know when you are so right. Being a woman, and having had men leer, check you out, make a pass, you kinda get used to it. When it is someone that is dating or married to someone you know or are related to, you can kinda say that you may brush it off. Ray was known for being a womanizer, a cheater, the kind of guy that would look at anything, so maybe Thelma thought, as sick as he was for looking at her that way (since she knew him when she was small) it didn't mean anything more to her than being uncomfortable. In her mind, "As long as he don't touch me or anything else" may have been what went on in her head. I had an occasion when my boyfriend's friend kinda insinuated something and I just brushed it off. I never told my boyfriend because even though what he did was wrong, it wasn't something that shocked me since i had seen this behavior from him before. They have been friends forever and I had to tell myself, was this really worth bringing up? Only if it got out of hand. I am sorry for going on and on. I am famous for that. Just wanted to point some things out. Thanx.

But if Ray gave Thelma that "YOU SEXY" look before the commercial, why would Thelma let him in? Damm she had a bad memory-lol
