This dude has a strong voice. He sang lead on many of The Dramatics songs in the 70's. The group didn't have any success until he joined them. I was surprised to see he wasn't with the group when they had out Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get, Get Up Get Down, In The Rain songs. He did a couple of solo albums after he left the group in the mid 80's. I never heard his solo stuff but i remember his solo song Touchdown. I met L.J.'s son at a family reunion cookout in Detroit about 4 years ago. His son looks just like him. His son is dating my cousin. L.J. is from Detroit & so is the other Dramatics members. I think Willie Ford is the only one in the group that's from Georgia.

Dude, you are on a roll! LJ is the sheet! I love his voice.
That's cool that your cousin is dating his son. Small world. All I've heard from L.J.'s solo catalogue is "Key To The World", which is good. I remember hearing "Touchdown" when I was younger but for the life of me can't remember how it went. ![]() He's one talent whose solo career probably should have produced hits. *scratches head* |
