Default Hawkeye as a parent

Ok another random question from me.

Do you think hawkeye would have made a good father or do you think he would have been to easy on his kids.
Also what sort of realationship do you think trapper had with his kids?

Just a thought i had one day.

Interesting question.

I think Hawkeye would have been a good father. He had a very close relationship with his own Dad, so I think he would have tried to be a great parent to his kids.

As for Trapper, it's hard to say. He loved his daughters very much, and mssed them alot, but his character wasn't around that long to delve more into his personal life.

Then there's BJ, who could pull out a pic of his kid in the blink of an eye.

This is a really good question, I think...

I lean towards Hawkeye perhaps being a bit too loose with his kids, letting them have so much freedom that they may be a bit too wild. But, he did a good job with Radar (though he wasn't really his kid of course), and I think I would love to have him as a father as he smart and funny, and I think I could talk to him about anything. Which gender do you think he'd do better with?

As for BJ...he probably won't let Erin date until she's 50!

I think Hawkeye would have made a great father. True, he was wild , but if you look back on all of the episodes that involve kids, Hawk is always there helping them, or entertaining them (ex. in "Hawkeye), or watching out for them. Like some others have said, he had a great relationship with his own dad. I think the problem would just be settling down with a wife , but maybe would have grown more mature as he got older...

As for Trapper, I also think he was a good father. I mean, look at the episode when he was/almost adopting the Korean "orphan"! I always start crying when he has just saved him, and then his mother comes! You can see the hurt in his eyes as he drives away.

And B.J., you wouldn't have to worry about! He was a great father, always talking about them, showing off their pictures. I especially love the scene where the Korean baby won't drink the milk Father Mulchay is trying to feed her, and then B.J. asks to try and starts "bah-ing" and she drinks it! That's love.

I think of all of them, I would want Trapper as my dad the best....BJ would be way too smothery (not sure that's a word, but I'm going with it)
