Rob & Laura's "Dads" on same Bonanza ep

This weekend TV Land aired a Bonanza ep called "The Mountain Girl", and it involved Joe befriending a young woman, apparently orphaned, whose maternal grandfather's dying wish was for her to claim her inheritance from her paternal grandfather, who was a wealthy man from San Francisco. The mountain girl's dying grandfather was played by Will Wright, who was the first actor to play Sam Petrie, and her wealthy grandfather was played by Carl Benton Reid, who played Alan Meehan. They didn't have any scenes together, but they were playing grandparents of the same grandchildren anyway. Will Wright was apparently very ill by this time and died just a month after the Bonanza ep aired.

That's an interesting tidbit, jehobden. It always catches my eye when I see an actor from TDVDS on another old series or movie too.
