MAMA. The lady who played Mama was a Horrible Actress and I only enjoyed the scenes that she wasn't in. This show is kind of similar to What's Happening, The show is at it's best when Clifton is in the Barbershop with his friends like How Raj was in the Soda Shop with his Friends. I think What's Happening was a little better because the mother on this show had a LARGER role. The Mother on What's Happening was barley seen and that's what I wish was the case on this show. So atleast I finally got a chance to see this lost sitcom from the 70's to compare it to other shows. Overall grade is a C.

Well that's why the show didn't last because Mama's role was too large and she was too boring. I don't know what the Tv Guide critic was talking about when he said the Mama character was fun to watch. Those scenes the critic was talking about with Mama being funny must be the deleted scenes that are not on the DVD-lol |

Too bad there wasn't a Mabel King sitcom called "That's My Mabel."

No, I haven't seen any yet. As soon as I win the Mega Millions I'll run out and buy both sets!

Where the blank did you buy it from? You could have ordered both from Amazon for not much more than $40.00. Especially since you didn't watch them right away, you could have used free shipping and wait for them to arrive at your doorstep for $21 each. |
