I'm just curious because I'm watching the older ones where Darlene was more of a Tomboy! She seemed happy at the least. As soon as she became a teenager she started wearing black alot & just got mean, overly sarcastic & depressed. I haven't seen every episode but was their an episode that addressed why she became like that??

Here's TV.com's description and thoughts on that episode http://www.tv.com/roseanne/darlene-f...7/summary.html I think Darlene was the only child of the show whom we saw the character change and grow. DJ and Becky kind of stayed the same, though with some changes. Darlene on the other hand, pulled a total 180. I perfered depressed Darlene to tomboy Darlene btw, I related to her more. |

Well I saw the episode last night & I liked it. It was nice to see a tv character struggling with finding herself & slipping into a depression because of it. I really felt bad for her in that episode because there was no one she could relate to

They changed her to dark moody and depressing because Roseannes daughter was going through that stage in real life and she put that into the show with darlene.
