I liked Julie because her character was the one who had situations that really helped move the show forward-and I could relate to her in many cases.

I also apreciated how Schnieder became more than just a comedy relief character, and a real friend of the family. He helped the show a lot.I always admired the show for being semi-serious,but if not for Schnieder there were times when it would've gone beyond being semi-serious and been an out-and-out tragedy.

I liked Barbara for the most part, and boy that show lasted long enough for her to grow from a cute teenage girl into a lovely young woman.

Ann was a good character, but there were times when I resented her feminist statements.

Ann - Her snide comments was great and perfect timing. I have used a great deal of them.

Francine - Shelley Fabares plays her quite well. Most stuff I have seen her in was boring. Actually Shelley is quite comical in that role.

Julie - She truly represents teenager with the storylines that centered around her. I do agree with one posting that her storylines did move the show forward and kept the interest level there.

Ann Romano did a good job as a single mother, but Schneider is the one who stands out most in my mind. But then again it has been more than 20 years since I seen this show, so all the characters are not fresh in my mind.

Fav characters:

Julie: She was played by the best actress on the show and was the most interesting.

Schneider: By far the funniest! All he had to do was enter the scene!

Trish the Dish: You never saw her but you gotta love that name!

I know I had a real hard time choosing between the Cooper sisters. After pondering and many coin flips I had to go with Barbara. I'm still wondering if I made the right decision???
