Just wondering who will be buying the season 6-8 DVDs of TAGS if they are ever released. These are the "dreaded" color episodes. I probably will, just so I'll have the complete series set. Also, some of the color ones I remember weren't too bad. I remember liking "Old Sam", "Andy Gets Sick", "Dinner At Eight", etc.

They probably will be released. I think I'm going to buy them just because I want to have the complete series (seasons 1-8). I like some of the color episodes.

Some of the color episodes were really bad. Like the episode where Howard moved to an island. Oh, was that terrible!
The only way I'm buying 6, 7, and 8, is if they have an extremely low price. |

I'll buy'em. There are a number of good episodes spread out over the three seasons, including the episodes when Barney appears. My personal fav of the colored eps is "Dinner at Eight."

I'll PROBABLY buy them. I've seen 2 or 3 of the color ones, and they weren't that bad.

The color episodes are still better than most TV today (IMO).

I'm getting them all.
But I don't expect Paramount to hurry themselves in releasing these like they did with the b&w ones.

I can tolerate a select few of the season 6 episodes.
But by seasons 7 & 8 - It will extremely difficult to sit through the episodes. The color episodes are "B-O-R-I-N-G"!!! They should of ended the show in 1965 when Don Knotts left. The show suffered miserably without his presence and it shows, even in Andy`s charachter. He doesn`t seem to happy on the show in the later years - much more serious. Andy Griffith was the greatest from 1960 to early 1965 until Barney left, then it was downhill. |
