Unedited Episodes....What Big Scenes Don't We See Anymore? (Here's an example) - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Can any of you recall seeing the Odd Couple in it's original unedited format? If so, you might remember a scene in the episode "Trapped". That's the one where Felix, Oscar, and Nancy, get stuck in the basement while planning to go to a costume party. Christopher Shea is listed as Philip in the credits. The scene he is in (cut from all versions) is when Felix is in the dumbwaiter he passes by Philip's apartment and looks in the window. Philip has on a mad scientist outfit and makes a face at Felix that scares him, and I think Felix says something real funny after that. I have never personally seen the scene but was wondering if anyone remembered it? Any other deleated scenes that come to mind, please post. Thanks!

Are you sure they're not in any versions? I know I've seen the scene before (though not in any recent edits) and I've only seen the show in syndication.

Here's an example from me: I had never seen the scene where Felix teaches Murray the song "Buttercup" from the Gilbert & Sullivan musical. I heard people talking about it and had no clue what they were talking about until I saw a different edit of that episode.

The episode, "The Insomniacs", where Felix has insomnia, I miss the scene where Murray, Myrna, and Oscar sing the song "Dreams" to Felix, in hopes of him falling asleep, and, when it fails, Murray pipes up and yells, "One More Time"! That is funny

Oh my God! I remember the "Trapped" episode from syndicated reruns when I was a kid and when I recently saw it on TV Land I noticed that the part with Phillip wasn't there but for a moment I thought I was going crazy. Why are these morons editing so much, anyway?

"Fat Farm" happens to be one of my favorite episodes! One of the charactors who plays a Jock is Dave Ketchum. According to the book TV Land To Go , his scene(s) is completely edited out, for anyone who has "Fat Farm" uncut, did Ketchum have
a big scene in that episode, or was it insignificant? (I thought that the deleated scene in "Trapped" with Philip as the mad
scientist was pretty funny.)

the episode where gloria dates nancy's brother, ray the swinger. felix is sitting on the stool by the kitchen counter and says "Raymond and Gloria, Ray and Glo, R and G"

I haven't seen that scene in a long time

and

Oscar talk to the spanish maid trying to find out where martha's parents are. "Que es mollie and siddo en el germany?
