to be the Breadwinner and bring home the whole Loaf, not just crumbs. Should J.J have said-"you been bringing home crumbs since I been knowing you"
James really had some nerve in saying You have to bring home the whole loaf |

I think he made it because he didn't want his son to end up like him.

But he didn't say it like that. he could have said-"Listen junior, I want you to have a better financial situation than I had when i first got married. The statement he made was something that George Jefferson could have said to Lionel-lol |

James worked his ass off to provide for his family, I think he did the best that he could. And at the time JJ was working at the chicken shack and I know he wasn't making that much money for him and Diana to move out on their own. James was working 3 or 4 jobs just to make it.
And plus James was angry at the time and you know that when your angry you say stupid stuff. |

I think he was angry, you don't have to be yelling to be pissed off.

I hope my post made sense in regards to the thread. It's just my opinion, but I do think James did one hell of a job in that family. He didn't run-off like Mad Dog's daddy. Shoot, there I go bringing in episodes again!!!!
