Comments, anyone? Going in, I thought the show had the potential to be really interesting. I am not sure the pilot delivered, though. Covering an entire year in one episode is ambitious, but focusing on only a few weeks of summer seems to defeat the purpose. I will keep watching, though.

Thumbs down

This show is oviously geared towards a teen audience. Anyone who was in high school in 1986 (like me) can tell right away this show has credibility problem. Someone should have popped out a tape of any of the millions of 1986 teen movies and looked at the clothes and hair and speech talk so these poor actors dont look like fools when there trying to convince someone its 86. If your in hs in the nyc area in 86 (supposidley by the town name its not too far from NYC) the BIGGEST news in that area was the mets and giants winning championships. starter jackets were the most popular thing. I dont know of one guy who didn't own a starter jacket. so if your talking ny,1986, everyone was wereing mets and giants gear. mysteriously thats missing. could someone also inform the writers mustashes were popular w guys back than, and of course the " mullit" haircut. what's going to be the biggest credibility problem with this show is the characters aging. from the looks of things , with a little make up there gonna look the same at 38 the same they did at 18. everyone puts on a little weight, loses a little hair, hair goes grey etc..the writers didnt have any foresight about this. So if you want
a love triangle show this might be for you. Otherwise the acting is bad, characters don't have much personality and are vanilla. The show plot is to long and pedictable. Sadly its a train wreck from the start. i cant invision this lasting more than a few episodes before the "turk" comes calling. If your in your mid thirties and are watching this show thinking your going back in time, your wrong...its a farse.

it seems like every show is geared toward a teen audience... except for those court dramas

I just wish Matthew St. Patrick was on better show. I wanted to like it, but I just didn't.

I liked it. I will definately watch it again this Thursday night, but then again, I'll watch anything with Will Estes in it.

I liked the show. Yes, it is geared for a teen or younger viewing audience, but I wanted to see Will Estes again, and it looked interesting.

I liked it but I am a teen. I didn't notice any of the problems with dress and all, since I'm young but I don't really care about that. I think it has a really exciting story line. It would be hard to cover a whole year in an episode. At first I was confused as to how they could go into so much detail but I guess it makes sense to just show the most important things. It will probably get confusing with a year going by and the people's looks totally changeing and time going by so fast.

I liked it and I'm turning 27 on November 7th and graduated High School in the late 90's 1997.Maybe not everyone followed trends back than and these kids were 6 of those.I sure as hell didn't follow the trends of the late 1990's.Maybe not everyone liked the Mets or Giants, or Yankees I sure don't.I don't like any sports.

Maybe not everyone wanted to be Madonna,Or Debbie Gibson back than.As far as Bedford goes not its is not too far from NYC probably about 30-35 minutes. My stepfather who passed away in 1994 from Cancer used to own his Own Hot Dog truck and it took in to Bedford. Its pretty nice there.

I think the shows is great! I see nothing wrong with the actors or the writing and I'm not going to make a big deal because the6 kids don't seem like Trend followers and don't own a starter jacket..
