Hilary Duff has reportedly taken a swipe at both Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson. The 17-year old pop star is quoted by Contact Music UK questioning her fellow older pop star's maturity.

Jessica Simpson is 25, and Britney Spears is 23 years old.

Duff apparently believes that Britney and Jessica's acts are too raunchy. She hammers the two stars as immature, and she wonders if they regret their antics as they grow older.

Duff, 17, muses:

"It's so funny, because with Jessica Simpson… a lot of people talked bad about Britney Spears and gave her so much flak, and I don't see any difference.

"I think if you feel comfortable with what you're doing, more power to you, that's what you should be doing.

"But I definitely do not think taking your clothes off or going out and getting wasted every night is a sign of maturity.

"I do not want to look back years from now and go: 'Ugh, that's so embarrassing."

I'm guessing with quotes as incendiary as these, denials from Camp Duff will soon follow, or Hilary won't have to wait long to hear from Brit and Jessica.

Like the attachment of her song being #1. It's true at what she's saying. I guess she feel's she can say that because she's popular right now. Is she popular right now?

When she's asked about that she'll say "Like, Oh my God, that is like so totally blown out of proportion. I like have their CDs in my car!" (which is what she said after saying what she did about Avril Lavigne)

oh please, at least Britney and Jessica aren't in pedophiliac relationships.

That makes me SICK about her and Joel. She's not 18 and Joel's older than I am. If they weren't pop stars, Joel would be in jail or probation.

lol. Joel Madden from Good Charlotte. He is 26 1/2 and Hilary's still 17 and they've been going out for almost a year.

I honestly wonder what the hell Joel's thinking. I'm younger than he is and couldn't even picture myself dating a 20 year old, much less a jailbait 17 year old.

hmm.... of all the teen and 20something pop queens, I would probably wanna get with Beyonce and Leann Rimes if I was into chicks. Jessica was pretty when she first came out but the ditziness has really taken away from her prettiness IMO.

I don't care for Hillary or Britney. Jessica may not be on everyone's fave list, but she is a mature "young" lady who will evidently grow more and more. When I was 25 I thought I was very mature. I am now 40 and I of course know better. Jessica at least waited til she got married and so what if she dresses provacative, it's not like she is 17, single, partying hard and drinking. She is a married woman. The only she has to answer to are herself, her husband and her family. Britney on the other hand, said alot of things, but ended up doing those things that she said she WOULD NEVER DO. That's why one should not use the word "NEVER"! You are so right Buffy girl!!! I hear what you are saying!!!!
