Indeed and that includes a comedy spoof re-imaging homage starring Ben 'BS' Stiller and Owen 'Dicknose' Wilson!

Psycho '98 was proof about tampering with perfection. Jaws is in that same league of "horror movies you just don't remake" alongside Psycho, Halloween and The Exorcist

I watched Jaws once and while it was very impressive the way Spielberg directed it, I think its very overrated and I'll never understand its fuss.

For its time, it was a movie that stirred up a lot of excitement. It was the first summer movie blockbuster and it gave birth to the wave of "event" summer movies, for better or worse.

This was before every movie was hyped to death and touted as being the highest-grossing movie of the week/year/ever. There were no entertainment channels and little or no programming devoted to coverage of things like this.

It was a more innocent time and that shark shocked the hell out of a lot of people.

There's really no need for a remake - there were three sequels to the original, all with diminishing creative returns and several knock-offs and imitators.

Remake Jaws? How can anyone remake a classic?

The thing about the movie is that I understand that and for its time, its a very good movie, but I can't believe its hype that still lives with it today. I think its brilliantly made, but I think its a slow movie and it just didn't hold my interest. I respect the movie but it didn't appeal to me.

no remake just digitally remastered and have uncut seens put on there. You can't touch a film like ever again!
