Out of the four you listed from season 3, A Loss of Confidence was the best. I agree with you about Florida the Woman, Seeing her on a Date with her Boss was kind of Dumb

The 3rd season is my LEAST favorite with Amos, although I still prefer it to the POST-Amos years.

It seemed like the episodes lost A LOT of energy after season 2. Plus it didn't seem like they were using the James character very much except to just "react" to the things that were going on. I remember reading that John Amos felt he wasn't being used on the show enough that last season except as a stage prop for JJ.

I can believe it, It's also a shame that Jimmie Walker couldn't see that the producers were trying to capitalize on the fact that he was alredy FUNNY/StRANGE LOOKING-lol
