Default Since J.J. won $2500, what do you think the Evans should have done?

Of course I am referring to episode "Richer is better than poor...maybe" It was J.J.'s money, and I think they should have upgraded a little bit. They were in need. A new apartment, new furniture, Florida was talking about the future, but they desperately needed that money for today. James was gone, and they needed all the money they could get. She was out of line to tell J.J. to put HIS money in the bank. So It wouldn't have hurt to spend a good grand of that. If you asked me, Florida seemed like she like to struggle.

I don't know if it was you, but someone else posted that same thought abt Florida liking to struggle. Isn't that strange how alot of us get that same feeling. And yet, in that Sweet Daddy episode where Sweets wants to sponsor JJ, Florida ALLOWS HIM TO SPONSOR JJ!!!! What happened to her holier than thou attitude???? James couldn't keep some of that $$$ he found, James was always being chewed out for being sacreligious, etc. BUT, it's okay to let a "man" who pimps whores, possibly deals with drugs, has people beat up, etc. sponsor her son?

Yeah, I did mentioned on how Florida liked to struggle. Once in a while, it would have been nice to see her say, "Yes! We've come into some money!" LOL

"Oh hell yeah, Ooooooh James, do you think anyone will find out? I mean, JJ needs new art supplies and Thelma needs some new clothes and Michael could use a fine set of encyclopedias, the one's he's using right now are sooo old".
James: "Baby, I knew you would see my side of things! Just think, with this money we could buy all that and then some!!!!!!"
Florida: "Oh James, I Love You!"
James: "I Love You too baby" (they kiss each other)

I mean come on, it would have been good.

You all have to remember that they changed writers between season 3-6 So some of Florida's feelings change.

Also isn't it strange that Florida ended up marrying Carl who didn't believe in God? Now that's going too far with characteristic changes LOL

Florida should have went to the Hairdresser
They could have stacked up on FOOD
Put 6 or 7 months rent away
Pay Bills
Buy a TV

Well 2500 wouldn't last long, so just spending it wouldn't do anyone any good in the long run. Florida was right to tell JJ to take the money and put it in the bank.

Also JJ didn't have to do what Florida said, he was an adult. So I guess he too thought it was the right thing and the most responsible thing to do.
