Did she buy or inherit the bar? Didn't she move back to her hometown? Wasn't it called Cowtown, Texas? I can't remember how they wrote the Flo character off from Alice.

.....in her final episode on "ALICE", Flo left 'Mel's Diner' in Phoenix to take a job as a "hostess" in a big restaurant in Houston. In the first episode of her series, on her way to Houston, she stops off in her home town {Cowtown} to catch up on her family and old friends. The, she discovers the old "Yellow Rose" 'watering hole' in town is for sale. On an impulse, she decides to buy the joint and be her OWN boss. And that's where her situation took off....
