Default Would the later seasons be better if James&Florida stayed??

I always wondered what they'd do in the later eps if James still was around.Would characters like Penny & Keith ever exist? I still think they would but I really would have liked to see James&Keith as friends.

I think the show would have been better and more solid if James and Florida had stuck around.I could see Penny still on the show but Keith and James might have some conflict.

Oh hell yes. I don't think Kieth would have been brought into play if John would have stayed.

I think James and Keith would've constantly be bickering....especially if he saw him slap her.

Watching the early episodes, John Amos was a powerful presence on that show, but the writers brought it down by wanting to have Jimmie be the clown. Which is why I am not a fan of the show after John leaves.

You put it too nicely, Brian. James would have beat up the football star. James would not have stood for that crap.

Keith would have KNOWN BETTER THAN TO TOUCH THELMA LIKE THAT. Just being around James for a while would have taught anyone, YOU DON'T MESS UP IN THAT HOUSE AND YOU DON'T TOUCH THELMA IN ANY BAD WAY.

If james had stayed the show would have had to end sooner than it did without him. How many more ideas could they come up with. and with Florida single it set up more storylines even though it ran its course after the fourth season. The fifth and sixth seasons were forgetable anyway and probably would not have even existed with Amos on the show.

If Amos was in the fourth season it would have been like Gilligan's Island in a sense. How many more times could they almost get out of the ghetto without actually getting out.

Much the same as Gilligan's island running out of ideas of them almost getting off the island.

No Penny would have never been on the show. She was only there because Esther Rolle left the show. Keith may have existed though.
