As a new MASH Poster I did not see this as a topic so here go's. Was there ever a reason given why klinger seemed to give up on getting out and why he went to a reg army uniform and no dress after awile.

i personally think he stopped the dresses because he had more responsibillty
when he becvame the company clerk. And i think col potter ordered him to get out of the dresses. But thats just my opinion

Klinger pretty much gave up his bid for a section 8 when Radar left.

Personally I don't like the show as much when Klinger stopped trying to get out and did't ware the dresses he wasn't very funny after that he sort of lost that twinkle in his eye after that.

Can't say I disagree, but at the same time, the gag ran its course.

I remember my parents and I kept wondering why Klinger stopped wearing dresses after he becem the company clerk . There should have been a scene where Colonel Potter told him "Our company clerk has to make a good impression, so we can't have you wearing your dresses any more !" . Klinger seemed to really want to be the company clerk, so that would've fit right in . There were a few episodes where Klinger tried a scheme to get sent home, but they came on a surprise basis .
