Default Another Michael response which didn't make sense...

Why did Michael say "Who are we gonna dump ol' Thelma on?" Thelma is already engaged to Larry. Didn't anyone tell Michael????

Good catch, Irene. But just because you're engaged don't mean you're gonna get married, as we found out at the end of season 3 in 'The Break Up'.

Yeah, I know that Craftman, but Michael didn't know that. Neither did we at the time. One assumes when one is engaged, they will be married. Ssshhhhhh...don't spill the beans abt "The Break Up". Some people might be watching the show for the first time!!!! Ah so what, who cares. LOL

Hey, it just dawned on me...the writers probably had Michael say that since they knew they were going to get rid of Larry as Thelma's fiancee. They just didn't think abt us catching that I guess.

oh, sorry Soloman, that episode reminds me of Florida not wanting James go to Alaske (oh S**T!!, here goes Irene again with that damn episode LOL). Larry gets a job in California that is promising and Thelma doesn't want to go.

But the Difference was, Larry wanted Thelma to go with him. James wanted Florida to stay in Chi-town-lol

Well, that's the difference there, obviously she couldn't go...where he was going it was in the middle of nowhere. Larry is offered something better than he can get in Chicago. Thelma could've gone with him if she really loved him. He would have his own business (gas station) and Thelma's family could've eventually moved out over there if they wanted to. Since James was complaining abt no work in Chicago, Larry and Thelma could've given the family a head's up of how things are in California. You know how family moves away, they usually let you know if there are better job prospects, better "projects" (not to be funny) bottom line, a better life. Thelma could've gone to school over there since her husband would be working and have a future. There's just so much good that could've come out of this for her. I go on and on like these people are real!!! LOL

Naw, I'm for real. I like to see how people think differently in certain situations.

Example: As strongly as you feel about the alaskan job episode, I think the episode where James was gonna go traveling with his friend Reverend Sam, the crooked Preacher, were kinda similar. James had a chance to make killer money to take care of his family and Flo didn't want him to go. I know her point was it was a scam, but is it illegal? And if not, is it worth James setting a bad example for the kids to scam people, just to make some doe. Hmmmm, what's your take?
