Well, not really. But I have a cousin who you may be hearing about real soon. Her name is Dawn (I'll leave out her last name incase she doesn't make it for some reason), and will be out of the Austin region. I guess they don't perform before the AI judges until October, but she's already made it through one round of preliminary stuff.

I've heard her sing many times before, and I'd be pretty shocked if she didn't make it far.

Thats awesome!! I think it kinda stinks that they have to wait THAT long to actually see Randy, Paula, and Simon. -_-

Well, she's actually Minnesotan, but recently moved down to Houston, and is now staying with my mom near Austin.

Crap! I guess this thread can die now.

"Dawn sang for the executive producers today. they said she did a great job, sounded really good. And, that 2 seasons ago, she would have made it easily. However, at this time, the "bar" has been raised, and they are looking for a really unique sound. They said her voice isn't unique enough."

Guess they gotta leave some extra room for those really crappy singers they like to have for show for the first round.

Aww that stinks

I agree with you, instead of letting the crappy singers in, why dont we let some GOOD singers in for a change? Seriously, the bad singers are funny and all, but I honestly think there's too much of them.

My idea is to sing really really bad for the prouducers so they'll let you in, than sing good for Randy, Paula, and Simon.
