.....someone needed parents on that show. It wouldn't look right if all three guys never had any parents. I only saw Dwayne's once. Did his TV mom ever say anything? Rerun's family were all "ghetto", except for his sister, Penny's mot... uh Chip Fields.

Since Dee was still on the show I would say yeah, a mother was still needed

Actually I liked Mabel King on WH. She wasn't Florida Evans, but she had her own style. And didn't mind disciplining her children.

Mabel died in 1999 from diabetes. She and Shirley died about a month from one another. Irene, check www.imdb.com you will see all the info.
