Default I need to know right now, am I the only Good Times fan who like the episode

Judy Cohen Story? I just felt it was a not switch up to something different. Something we didn;t normally see on Good Times. Yes she was not a looker, but I thought she was very entertaining on stage and inside the Evans. The most funny thing about Judy was that she knew she was unattractive but had a lot of confidence in her singing. Does anyone else beside me like this episode?

Sorry, but it has nothing to do with Judy's looks! If that was the case then we wouldn't have watched because of Jimmy and his looks. It had to do with this was a weak story.

It's just you Solomon. I'm quoting myself from another thread;

Quote:
The Judy Cohen character was out of place on a show like Good Times. People didn't watch Good Times to see some short, dumpy girl sing show tunes. What was that song she sang? Send In The Clowns? They sent in the clowns when she took the stage.

Well it was funny to me. It probably would have been better if Michael and those 3 guys performed at the club like they did at the apt

That would have made it more tolerable. It was too much Judy. But that wasn't a funny episode, it was pretty dry.

No. I didn't like that episode. Just like the show with that other lame comedian. I thought JJ was an artist. Now what did he know about judging talent?

One thing I did like was when a real agent told JJ to F*** off. He didn't know anything about managing. If he did, he should've managed Keith's up and coming comic career.

I wouldn't call this one of the better shows by a long stretch but seeing it on the dvd recently it wasn't as bad as I recalled. The ending is really rather bittersweet as were the endings of quite a few episodes in season 4. This episode to me is better than the one where they were selling the underwear. To me that is the worst season 4 episode, the premise is just too far out.

The only good thing abt the show was her singing, and even that wasn't that great. I hate that episode. You are all alone in this one Soloman. Sorry.

I do like the episode, not sure why. I guess because it's a little different than most of the others. And when she sang the song Send in the Clowns, you can tell she's had a painful life.
