Here's the update and unfortunately it's not good. His liver is finished.
Doctors can do no more for him. It's just a matter of time now.
There is a woman who the father knows that might try some oriental medicine and maybe that will help but I'm not counting on it too much.

It's not fair; he's only 44 and is married but it's only been for a year and a half now approximately and they didn't even have the chance to have one kid. I lost my mother on Jan. 16th of this year to colon cancer but at least she lived a long life and had her family and everything. Life Sucks!!

I'm sorry. My dad has a liver disease too. Fortunately, it hasn't gotten that serious. I'll keep your boyfriend's brother in my thoughts.
