The Team

This is a sitcom about six friends who are all on the same high school year-round basketball team. These six friends are as follows: the all-around average Kyle (Shia LeBeauf), the popular jock Drew (Andrew Lawrence), the wannabe Logan (Martin Spanjers), the chick-magnet Chris (Jesse McCartney), the smooth-talking Trey (Orlando Brown), and the cool and easy-going Derek (Drake Bell). Kyle, Drew, Logan, Chris, Trey, and Derek are all high school juniors. Their team is coached by the highly-liked new History teacher, Coach Dan Collins (Malcolm-Jamal Warner), and his best friend and rookie Assistant Coach Kevin Green (Kevin Hart).

Ep1: Tryouts (Pilot):
Coach Dan and Asst Coach Kevin scramble together a good basketball team. Drew, Kyle, Derek, Trey, Chris, Logan, and couple other guys make the "cut" to get onto the team. They have their first official practice, which turns out to be a very unorganized due to Coach Dan being caught up in traffic-leaving Coach Kevin in charge.

Ep2: Practice Makes Perfect:
Coach Dan and Coach Kevin buttheads over how much practicing is too much practicing. Coach Kevin is fed up with it all, when Coach Dan pulls rank. Meanwhile,

Ep3: Party Crashin':
Derek is turning 17, and decides to throw a big birthday beer bash at his family cabin one weekend. While at the party, Drew and his current girlfriend have a big fight-over Drew putting basketball before his girlfriend-causing them to break up. Also, Derek's party is crashed by Derek's big brother, Sam (Sam Horrigan) and his college buddies--including hot college chicks. All is well until the cops arrive.

Ep4: Enraged Coach:
Coach Dan is enraged by the fact that Derek, Chris, Trey, and Drew are all on probation and suspended from the first two games-due to being caught under the influence by the cops that crashed Derek's party. Meaning Coach Dan puts in Logan, Kyle, and the rest--and prays they do well. They surprise and shock Coach Dan, Coach Kevin, their benched teammates, and everyone in the audience.

Ep5: Team Manager:
The coaches asks the guys to find the team a team manager. It is uniamous that the team wants a hot girl to be the team manager. They recruit Kyle's sophomore sister, Mackenzie (Alexa Vega)-resulting in Kyle getting crap from his teammates about his "hot sister". Meanwhile, Chris and Trey decide to try to find a newly single Drew a girl to take his mind off his ex-girlfriend.
