Should "Mama's Family" be considered a spin-off of the Carol Burnett Show since in TCBS, Mama has more children than in MF (I believe five and I don't believe that Vint exists in TCBS - but I may be wrong) and Eunice has two sons (Billy Joe and Bubba) in TCBS, yet in MF, she only has one (Bubba)?

Mama's Family IS a spinoff... however, they changed the "reality" of the show around when they spun it off.... ALSO if you recall the 90 minutes tv special EUNICE that aired a year before Mamas Family began.... in that special, Mama DIED!!! at the end... so reality was changed big time!!!

Mama Didn't die. You just didn't see her stepping out of the shower
at the end of the show. It was off camera (thank goodness :-)

Mamas Family was a good show that you could forgive the continuity
problems with the Carol Burnette show skits etc.
