Default Movies stemmed from games

There have been a recent slew of movies, created from online games---
Resident Evil, and so on.

I can remember seeing CLUE ahwile back, the board game come to the theater-

And I really did like it- but there haven't been many that way.

Anyone have any games to movies they liked ??

Tomb Raider? I saw the second one. It was pretty good.

Super Mario Bros, back in the 90s. It kind of sucked though.

Actually I thought Sin City had been a comic first - not so much a game.

Wasn't Dungeons and Dragons made into a movie?

Yes. Believe it or not, Jeremy Irons was in it.

House of the Dead is another movie based on a video game.

Good game, I'm sure the movie is crap.

Other ones include:

Mortal Kombat
Wing Commander
Final Fantasy
Double Dragon

Yes My mistake, it was a comic...got my genres confused there for a bit.

I had forgotten about Super Mario Bros--wow. Time Warp!

But along those lines, Final Fantasy, and Mortal Combat have to go in. And Alone int he Dark as most recent...

I kinda liked Street Fighter and the Mortal Kombat movies, even though those flicks have been deemed as one of the worst films at IMDB.com.

Clue came to theaters in 1985, well over 20 years ago. That's not "a while back," that's a long time ago.

The SMB movie is the ABSOLUTE WORST movie I have EVER had the (un)fortunate chance of viewing.

I saw Clue recently, when I bought the DVD - I bought it because it has Christopher Lloyd in it. I really, really liked it. It was silly, yes, and I didn't entirely understand the explanations - there were three different endings, with different murderers each time - but I thought it was hilarious.
