Question Sinus Headaches vs. Migraines

I am a heavy headache sufferer, but I'm confused as to what is what. I "thought" I suffered from migraines, but then I read the definition. I know my headaches are not pounding on my tempals (thus, would be a migraine, right?). Rather, I feel aching in the SAME spot everytime I get a headache - inside my right eye's lachrimal duct. I ask around. Then I have been told it could be sinus headaches. But... I don't get sinuses. Hmmm... I know I need to get them checked out, but can anyone help me figure this out. I'm confused.

I suffer from migraines. You will know if it's a migraine vs. another headache. A migraine is KILLER PAIN. You can't do anything, you just want to lay down, nothing makes the pain go away, you need to stay away from light and noise, you can even feel nauseated. Believe me, you will know. It could be some other form of headache.

There are times where I get the exact symptoms - sensitivity to light and noise, nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite. However, I do not get the pressure around my head. That's what confuses me. It's like I can develop a cross of symptoms. Odd....

Actually, the pain with most migraines are on one side of the head (left or right).
The herb Feverfew helps about 2/3rds of those who suffer from migraines, but it takes about 4-6 weeks for it to be effective.

My mother would get her migraines like that - one side of the head, nausea, vomiting, super sensitivity to light and they would last up to two weeks at a time.
I've been a little luckier - the longest I've had is 5 days and I usually get the flashing coloured "aura" about 20 mins. before the onset - so if I can, I get my medicine then and its much more effective. Still get the "hangover" from them afterwards for a day or two.

I've also had the sinsus headaches (had to have mine drained when I was 13). They can be horrible too, but you do get extreme pressure on the face from them and sometimes aching teeth and jaws if the lower cavities are affected. If allowed to go for a while you can get nauseated from them as well (usually because they drain a bit and the infection upsets your stomach).
Best bet is to get to a doctor - he'll tap on the sinsuses and will be able to tell if they're clogged - he may follow up with xrays to confirm the extent.

Another form are tension headaches which can be almost as bad as migraines but they tend to run down the back of the head, to the neck and shoulders.

Each one is very distinct though and the worst are migraines - they'll shut down the toughest of people.

I suffer from sinus headaches sometimes. They're bad, but I can live with them
