Gob: There's not a lot of logic to it. It's kind of like on a boat with "Women and children first." I mean, why should they -

No, I haven't. I guess I have a blind spot when it comes the 1939 version... I don't see how it can be topped.

But in particular, about The Wiz: I've never been a big fan of Diana Ross, so that turned my interest off from the very start.

"The Wiz" was a great movie with Diana Ross and Michael Jackson. It was a 1939 remake of "The Wizard of Oz" with an all-urban cast. I saw it on TV when I was a youngster and it was great. I prefer the 1939 version with Judy Garland.

I own the dvd, it's one of my favorite movies. I love the music and how they tranformed so many NYC locations. Plus I loved Diana Ross back in the day.

I think this is a very underrated movie. I like it a lot better than The Wizard of Oz. I was never a fan of TWOZ even when I was little.

The Wiz was the first movie I saw as a child at the movie theatre.I watch this movie everytime it comes on TV. Its the soul version of the Wizard of Oz.I loved the characters, the singing and dancing. The Wiz is one of my all time favorite movies.

Yeah, I love that movie. I love the scene where they're dancing around the fountain in the emerald city and The Wiz keeps changing the color.
