Default The only consistent storyline on Good times was.......

Florida's Gallbladder Operation.

1)It was started in the episode-"florida's Operation,

2)then it was brought in episode "Florida's Rich cousin's" that James still hadn't paid the entire bill yet because of J.J 12 cavaties

3)then it was mentioned in the episode "The Mural" that James used the money in Thelma's college fund to pay off the remaining balance of the Bill.

This was the only storyline that was consistent and had a ending to it.

I was thinking the same thing after just having watched the episodes again ...at least there was some form of continuity

It would have been nice to have a episode where J.J actually went to the dentist which could have been connected to the episode-"Florida's Rich Cousin"

See, that's a good example of how you don't need to build an entire episode around a topic or subject matter. Just interject that sucker in there just to have some sort of continuity.

I think the Edgar episode ended just right. Give 'em something to think about. Especially with the last lines from Flo and James.

But I'll agree with you on cousin Naomi, I don't think the episode ended right at all. Seemed almost like at the end they just dismissed it, and went on with there merry little Xmas.

Especially the way she just collapsed, you would think it would be a mentioning of how she was doing

I thought of another continuity. In "JJ and the Older Woman" he named his friends that she (I can't think of her name right now) would like, and he mentioned Poppo and Cool Breeze. So at least the writers came up with those actual friends in the 5th season.

Is this a deja vu for me??? Didn't you make this thread before Retro???
Anyway, yeah it seems to be at least one consistent thing.

I would have liked closure to jj's bride that jumped off out of the bathroom window. They could have had some terrific dramatic scenes.
