I was hoping to receive a review copy by now but haven't gotten it, so if it doesn't arrive by tomorrow morning, I'm buying it. I have the previous four the day they came out, so it's mandatory.

yeah nothing wrong with you owning the entire series UNCUT on DVD but i'm confident you will not like season 5. The Judy Cohen ep is better than about 17 eps from season 5.

That's a DAMN lie! The Judy Cohen episode is probably one of the worst episodes of the entire sitcom!

I remember a bunch of season 5 eps along with what I watched during the TVLand marathon, so I know I'll like season 5. Earlier seasons may be better but I still like season 5 as well.

One of the top of my head was the one with Robert Guillaume as the bum (forget his name) where they had the fake funeral/wake. That's one of my favorites. Plus the whole Evans Get Involved episodes were favorites of mine.

I whole heartedly agree. The Evans get involved was a great four parter. The best of the season. I know you don't like Penny Solomon, but you have to admit that these were very dramatic episodes.

Nope. I got season 4 around a week before release date, but so far for season 5, nothing.

You're pretty much right about season 5. There are a lot of bad episodes in there, but some of the ones I like are:

-4 part Penny episodes

-Breaker, Breaker (with the CB radio)

-Thelma Moves Out

-Willona the Fuzz (Willona's spies in ladies dressing room)

-Wheels (JJ and friends buys Bookman's car)

-I Had A Dream (JJ dreams he's white)

-Penny's Xmas

-Where There's Smoke (couch caught on fire)

-Write On Thelma

Yeah Fish Bone was his name, that was a funny episode. After james died the show died along with it. I'm a huge Good Times fan, But I have to say that James made the show for me.
