Globe article about the Joe Cole murder

Yesterday, I was reading the August 29 edition of Globe magazine, and came across an article about the murder of Joe Cole, the son of actor Dennis Cole. Although the article doesn't mention that fact that the murder was profiled on UM in 1996, it reveals some allegations.

In Globe's exclusive interview, Dennis Cole alleges that Joe's friend, rock star Henry Rollins, is withholding information. Rollins denies it.

According to the article, Dennis Cole had a theory that revenge may have been a motivating factor in Joe's murder, and that Rollins was possibly the actual intended target. It was said that Rollins had a cache of Nazi and World War II memorabilia in his house, and it was believed that Rollins had angered some people in the Venice Beach, California (where he and Joe lived).

There has also been the theory that the 1991 murder was the result of a robbery gone wrong (the killers took some money with them after killing Joe). Before the murder, Rollins appeared on MTV, so it is believed that someone watching him on that station assumed that he was rich.

The article ends with both Henry Rollins and Dennis Cole pleading with the public to come forward with any information that could help solve Joe's murder.

As I mentioned earlier, the article is in the August 29 issue of Globe magazine. It's on pages 18 and 19. If you want to read the article, and if the issue is still on sale, buy a copy ASAP.

However, since Globe is a tabloid magazine, you can't really believe everything read, and some things can be exaggerated or taken out of context. So read the article with caution. But the article is worth checking out.
