does anyone remember this at disneyland? it starred michael jackson and it was a 3D show it was the best thing ever but they stopped it when michael started having his...legal troubles, heres a summary:
The film tells the story of Captain Eo and the ragtag crew of his spaceship on a mission to deliver a gift to a wicked alien queen, the Supreme Leader, who resembles a creature from the movie Alien. He tells her that he sees the beauty hidden within her, and that he brings her the key to unlock it: his song. She orders her guards to capture Captain Eo and his crew, but his singing transforms the dark hulking guards into shining agile dancers who fall into step behind him, and as he presses forward, his power finally changes the queen into a beautiful woman and her lair into a peaceful Greek. Stars: Michael Jackson, Angelica Huston, Dick Shawn, Executive Producer: George Lucas, Director: Francis Coppola Lucasfilm and Walt Disney Imagineering developed and used over 150 special effects. translation: it was awesome

Yes, I remember it. Very good.
But as I recall, it was beginning to be a bit old. By that I mean the film itself was getting old. It was getting blurry. And, it needed a rest anyway. There's only so many times that someone wants to watch the same movie over and over. It was great for the visitors; not so great for the locals. Before EO, I remember the show where they had someone reaching out for the brass ring on a carousel ride. Was there a storyline in that one??? Don't remember. Since EO, we have something based on "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids." That one has been going on for awhile, too. |

I saw the Captain Eo movie at Disney World. Or was it at Epcot Center? I can't remember.
The film also featured Joe Pesci as the bad guy. |
