Default Syndicaton success: Bernie Mac Show vs My Wife And Kids

They were compaired to one another and battle each other in prime time, now they battle in syndication.

Which show will do better in syndication, "The Bernie Mac Show" or "My Wife And Kids?"

Since I have seen "The Bernie Mac Show" from the beginning, and missed the first season and most of the second season of "My Wife And Kids", I am more excited about "My Wife And Kids" coming to syndication.

The release of the first season of "The Bernie Mac Show" could help the show or hurt the show in syndicaiton.

I think they'll both do great.

I believe Bernie will get a better life in syndication compared to how bad FOX has treated it over the years. BTW, the show will be in syndication while the 5th season airs on FOX this Fall.

I'm looking forward to seeing both in syndication.

I don't necessarily buy why everyone thinks that. Friends is still one of the top 3 sitcoms in syndication (along with Raymond and Seinfeld, both of which have at least a few seasons out on DVD) and all but the last season is available to own. DVD sales have never hurt Friends and they don't seem to be hurting Seinfeld or Raymond, so I don't understand the phobia that people think DVD will kill syndication. Drew Carey ISN'T on DVD and the ratings are usually not as good as those three, same with Becker and Dharma And Greg and plenty others.

Well I saw the promo for My Wife & Kids and Bernie Mac Show and they will be airing on KMAX UPN 31 in Sacto/Stockton/Modesto weeknights from 7-8 PM and again from 10-11 PM. Which means Fear Factor which currently airs at 7 and 10 PM will now move to 6 PM and 11 PM come Sept. 12th.

A mega show like "Friends" or "Seinfeld" is different. Those shows will do great in syndication, because they have enough fans that don't have the DVD, that still want to watch the show in syndication. To compair those classic shows to "Becker", a show that I have never seen, don't anyone that have seen an episode, and still made it to syndication.

I had to get that off my mind, this is about "Bernie Mac Show" and "My Wife And Kids", let's stick to that. I can't wait to see a "My Wife And Kids" first season episode, and see an episode with the original Clair.

I am excited about both, but more excited about Bernie Mac. Will this encourage FOX to release Season 2 of Bernie Mac? Hopefully... since they haven't been known for abandoning shows.

Both shows belong right where they are, in Syndication-lol
