Default Does anyone remember a game show called

MAKE ME LAUGH? It had comedians on there whose purpose was to try and make contestants laugh. I loved that show it was so cool and funny. Alot of times I tried along with the contestant and I would laugh my ass off. It had Gallagher, Bruce Baum, the unknown comic and others on there.

I hope you are thinking abt the 70's version. The show was revived in the 90's I think, but it wasn't the same. The original WAS THEE BEST!!!!

YES!!! There were some very funny moments on it!! Unfortunately, the host, Bobby Van, died, from what I heard.

Yes he did. God I couldn't remember his name, thanx for putting it here. He was married to an actress her name was Elaine Joyce. She appeared on Match Game and other 70's game shows and made appearances on Love Boat and other shows. Wow, that show was awesome. It was so damn funny.

I remember this show, but vaguely. God, I would lose in a second, because I cannot keep a straight face!

I remember the 70s version of Make Me Laugh with Bobby Van as host. Gallagher was hilarious when he was one of the guest comedians. Contestants received one dollar for each second they didn't laugh and if they survived the three comedians, the top prize was $360. Once per show, there was a guest celebrity who played for an audience member.

Make Me Laugh actually began in the late 50s but had a short run with Robert Q. Lewis hosting.

Default MAKE ME LAUGH

The original was hosted by raconteur Robert Q. Lewis
(also of THE NAME'S THE SAME and GET THE MESSAGE).
Neither version lasted very long, but there is an episode
of EACH version in circulation. The Robert Q. Lewis version
in black and white has the original cigarette commercials
intact.

I remember Make Me Laugh with Bobby Van. It was sad when Bobby passed away. His wife Elaine Joyce was hot, she and Bobby appeared together on Tattletales and some other game shows too. I think Elaine is now married to playwriter Neil Simon.

Another game show I remember from the late 70's is Hollywood Connection. Jim Lange from The Dating Game hosted it, I believe one of the celebs who appeared on the show was Jan Murray.

And how about The Who, What, or Where Game with Art James? Similar in format to Jeopardy, this show had about a 5 year run (1969-74).

Another one is Three On A Match with Bill Cullen. I would love it if GSN would dig up some of these old obscure game shows like these and air the episodes, but perhaps the tapes of some of these shows don't exist anymore.
