Does anyone remember this episode? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

It's driving me crazy because I can't remember enough of the details and yet it deeply affected me when I saw it.
It was a murder .... maybe double? maybe single?
I want to say that somehow real estate was involved.

But, if you remember it it will probably be because of a distinctive tattoo on the ankle of the murder victim.

Please tell me someone remembers the details.

Are you thinking about the Beverly McGowan murder? It certainly affected me when I saw it. Her body was mutilated to remove any identifying features, except the killer (later found out to be Elaine Parent) missed the tatoo on her ankle. The police were looking for a woman named "Alice" who was Beverly's new roommate, as well as a "man" dressed as a woman in a cleopatra wig (who was actually Elaine Parent) who used Beverly's credit card to fly to London. Ring a bell?
