I'm a dren...are you? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I seem to recall watching an episode of Happy Days around 1977 where Fonzie is talking to someone (Richie, maybe?) and saying that he is a dren....a dren is "nerd" spelled backwards and, thus, the opposite of being a nerd. Anyone know how I can verify this and what episode it appeared in?

I don't know if Fonzie ever said it, but the only time I ever heard it was when Joanie was explaining it to Potsie, because she called him Dren in her love letters to him...

That would be "They call it Potsie love." It was because Joannie flipped over Potsie, after listening to him sing. Dren is nerd spelled backwords, & that's what Ralph called him. I thought Joannie's dream about getting married to Potsie was cute.

It was a love letter to Potsy that Joanie wrote that referred to him as "DREN".
