Last Episode - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I have only ever caught the very ending of the last episode. I get caught up after Bob starts to slump at the inn door and wakes up you know where. Can someone tell me what happened in the last episode including what caused Bob to "wake up?" Thanks!

The Inn is sold to make room for a golf course. Dick sells the Inn to a Japanese realtor and it is the last thing to be sold. Everyone is arguing when Dick says, I've gotta get outta here--and then a golf ball hits him in the head, leaving him unconcious. He then wakes up with Emily, from the Bob Newhart Show and it's made out that 'Newhart' was all a dream! they never explained how he woke up--he just did I guess. Sorry I couldn't be more of a help.

When he hosted Saturday Night Live in 1995, they spoofed it by, when the end credits were over, that he'd wake up in his bed, and his dream was about him being on SNL.

They also spoofed it on the "TV Land Awards" where he and Susanne Pleshette did their scene from a bed on the stage.

Emily's comment to Bob indicates that his bad dream (and subsequent waking up) was due to indigestion from eating Chinese food too late in the evening.
