No sweetie. read what i posted. it's a link ABT John doing the commercial. I'm sorry. I guess the title of my post suggested that. Sorry. didn't mean to get your hopes up high. I wish I could see that McDonald's commercial myself. I found other stuff that mentions the same thing. But the link said something abt VH1 having shown the piece of the commercial in some countdown they had. I wonder if it could be researched thru that?

Hey you know what, I think I seen this commercial probably on the VH1 show and, if I remember right, John Amos was singing and dancing while he was sweeping the floor.

The commercial was done like a broadway show.

about eight mcdonalds employees all of which appeared to be grown men who probably wouldn't be doing this for a living.

Belting out a rousing rendition of the old jingle "You Deserve a Break Today"

I remember it was quite well done and they had a line for every station in the McDonalds Kitchen. The one Line I remember most vividly is.

"Nothing's Cleaner to meeeeee!...Than my Frying Machiiiiiiine"

YOU DESERVE A BREAK TODAY!!!! SO GET UP AND ON YOUR WAAAAAY!!

TO MCDONALDS!! All while dancing with their pales and other kitchen equipment.

I hope I shed some light on this.

You are so right. I remember the commercial now. The commercial was started so the women of family households could take their families to McDonald's for dinner, hence the jingle "You deserve a break today". John Amos was singing and dancing. He was the head of the team.

Speaking of statistics, that was another thing that irritated the S***t outta me. When one of the Evans' would quote statistics. I sometimes wondered if I was watching a sitcom or a news report.

ROTF. That was my point. That show came up with statistics at every angle of the show. Seems like they pulled them all out of their asses!! Makes you wonder if the show had an agenda. Or Maybe John Amos did. THe Statistics died when James died.

It was funny how they read an article that ALWAYS pertained to the subject matter at hand.

LOL and how they had these exact numbers for them.

James could get a toothache and Michael would jump up and say 90% of toothache victims are by stressed out black men over 40 right out of his ass.

and the everready unemployment statistics were my favorite. Thelma, Michel and James always had those numbers ready.

Maybe they should have spent more time looking for work then looking at unemployment statistics.

Blacks are always the biggest victim in these quoted stats.

And I love the way Michael quotes them with a little antiwhite anger in him.

You are so damn right. I mean, I have used statistics in a conversation, but I don't remember the wording of the article WORD FOR WORD!! GEEZ. Of course they had to throw in statistics, it was a Norman Lear show and statistics were a part of All In The Family as well. Brian you are right too abt how they just happened to read an article pertaining to the subject matter on hand. Idiotic writing. It was a sitcom and at times I felt preached at.
