Default Attention to all U.K. television viewers...

Hello, my name is David Lumpkins. This message applies only for those viewers in the United Kingdom.....

If you are a serious tape-trader, live anywhere in the United Kingdom, and have access to the Trouble cable channel (which airs mostly teen programs), please record the television show "SK8" for me. This show airs on the Trouble channel every Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m. local time (that's 7:00 a.m. in the United Kingdom). This show used to air in the United States but it has not aired since 2002. There was a total of thirteen episodes to this program. Please record all the episodes of "SK8" on a VHS tape until you have 13 different episodes on the tape. If you happen to record the same episode twice by accident, just tape over the second recording with a different episode. Finally, if you do record "SK8" for me, please do not cut off the television commercials.

Again, the name of the television show is "SK8", it airs on the Trouble channel at 7:00 a.m. UK Time, include both the show and the commercials, and a total of 13 episodes were filmed. The next air date for this show is on Saturday, August 20th (2 days from now). If you are seriously committed to doing this for me, send a direct e-mail to me immediately at david_lumpkins@yahoo.com to confirm that you will tape the show for me. If anyone in the United Kingdom knows anyone else who has the Trouble channel and a videotape recorder, please pass this information along to them and tell them to e-mail me if they are willing to record the show and help me out. The main cast of "SK8" includes Christopher Jorgens, Adrienne Carter, Jorgito Vargas, Jr., and Blair Wingo. Please take note that I am only looking for a dead-serious tape trader who is 100% committed in working out the tape-trade exchange from start to finish. No exceptions!

Just so you'll know, the reason why I cannot tape the show by myself is simply because I live in the United States and the show currently airs only in the United Kingdom. Therefore, I need someone to help me out and record the show for me. And again, if anyone knows someone else who has the Trouble channel and a videotape recorder, please pass all of this information along! I've been searching for 2 years straight just trying to find someone who recorded the majority or all 13 episodes of this TV show.

Thank you.

--- David L. Lumpkins

Don't forget, people in the UK, their tapes are in PAL format. The United States is under NTSC format. If you play a PAL recorded VHS on an NTSC VCR, it will not play.

Default Yes, I do realize this....

Yes, I do realize that there is a different taping format in the U.K. Fortunately, there are some taping places in the United States that can convert international recordings to American tapes, like the VHS kind.

If you don't like the show, you can still insert the tape, press the "Record" button, then walk out of the room for 30 minutes ('cause that's how long the show is), and after half an hour, you can come back in the room, press the "Stop" button, and eject the tape.

Again, someone who has Trouble channel and a tape recorder please help me out! "SK8" airs tomorrow at 7:00 A.M. United Kingdom time on the Trouble cable channel. Thank you for your cooperation.

If only I had cable...

HA HA... most of our VCR's and newer TV's will play NTSC and PAL! Why don't the US ones do both? I get my mom to send me over price is right tapes... how sad is that?
